This fabulous outfit was made for the ever gorgeous, ever glamorous Miss Asia LaBouche. It started out as just a fully boned period corset for body shaping. Well, Miss Asia brought me this pretty satin brocade for its outer layer and things grew from there. She wound up wearing it to give over her crown as Miss Gay Indiana 2006.

The corset is a fully constructed Edwardian, with plenty of bust and hip gussets, patterned from Corsets and Crinolines, modified to Miss Asia's measurements and desired reduction. It involves a strength layer of coutil with steel and spiral boning, then a layer of baby flannel, then finally the layer of fashion fabric, accented with Swarovski crystals(she did the embellishment). It also features a silk lining custom designed with pockets for her bust padding and a grosgrain waist tape. We achieved 5" waist reduction with this corset.

The bolero jacket was created with a sloper pattern to her measurements. It is fully constructed with a facing, a lining, and French cuffs. All embellishment is also her work.

The skirt is a bias-cut mermaid cut, patterned and achieved in less than a week from a modified Vogue pattern with a circle train. All embellishment is hers.
